RE: the Guadalajara question, I can’t, unfortunately, help with that, but since am pondering a move to Palm Springs, CA, was wondering if Aaron or someone could give me a micro-dot of input regarding the allergy situation in the Coachella Valley (Palm Springs & vicinity; the Colorado Desert, more properly designed as the extreme western extent of the Sonora Desert). My particular sensitivity is to grass pollen – off the charts – but other pollen can also be troublesome. It’s usually seasonal (spring and fall), & probably includes mold spore reaction, too. I currently live in San Francisco, which isn’t too bad for grass pollen compared to inland Bay Area, but not sneeze-free, either. Thanks!

I lived in Guadalajara for a year and a half before moving back to Tennessee, where I suffer chronic allergies. In Guadalajara I had some problems but not like here. It may have gotten worse if I had stayed more time since I was in the “allergy honeymoon period” which supposedly lasts about 2 years. But I would go back in a minute. At least there I needed neither a heater nor an air conditioner thanks to the wonderful climate.
