I did pass out and was put in the hospitol for 4 days, numerous tests, conclusion, allergies, stress, dehydration, migraines.I was taking Allegra D, which controlled my appetite to the point of barely eating or drinking. The days I didn't take it I slept all day. I now take the shots and feel much worse. I also have the pressure and tingling in my nose and my ears and jaws hurt. They said I also had TMJ. I want to stop the shots and try Zyrtec. I have heard taking "local" honey helps build your immunity up to the allergies you have that are related to the environment such as trees and grass, etc.

I suffer from the early spring, late summer allergies here in missouri. The only natural remedy that Ive come up with is using honey locally harvested. They say that ingesting the honey from the local area will, sorry not a doctor, make anti-allergy something or other build up in ur system. And the key is LOCAL honey. When u visit other areas, grab a bottle of local honey and take as much as possible!!

Since moving to Rolla, Missouri from California in 2005, twice a year I get a terrible tickle in my throat resulting in violent coughing to the point I feel I could have a heart attack. Nothing takes away the tickle, and in between the violent episodes I constantly have a normal cough. It's very embarrassing when in public and I try to put people at ease by laughingly assuring them I don't have TB. The coughing will erupt suddenly with no warning, which has resulted in almost being slugged by a man one time when I coughed while standing in line behind him. He was absolutely furious, but I had no control whatsoever, it just explodes out of me. It's one of the most debilitating things I've ever experienced. Usually it comes early spring and late fall, but we've had so much rain this year I wonder if that's a factor. I've read many comments in numerous sights from people who experience the same thing and there seems to be no cure. I had the same thing happen last year in Maui, Hawaii to the point my vacation was ruined, and so was my friend's. Even though she was sleeping in the next room, my coughing was so violent and non-stop it kept her awake for hours. We have a trip coming up to Kauai, and now that the coughing has returned after being cough-free for the last five months, I'm desperate for a cure. In a strange way it's comforting to know I'm not alone in this. I don't think I've ever heard anyone in public have the coughing spells that I have, but obviously from this site and others many people experience the same thing.

Hi! i know you posted this a long time ago, but you can count me in aswell. I to am from San Francisco, born and raised right along the beach and i too recently moved to Missouri. I never had an allergy in my life, untill i moved here. I havent seen a specialist just my doctor, and luckily its not as severe as most cases, but im afraid it will get there. It started with the dizziness and conjestion, now its swollen eye and irritability, and tired all the time, claratin so far has worked the best with me, with no drowsiness. I am glad my stay here is temporary, but i feel like im slowly dying! what do u guys think it is? the foliage, along with climate, i live near Jefferson City. Thanks for hearing me out and would enjoy the support.

I have lived in Missouri my whole life and sick much of time. I have had tests that show I get huge hives (extreme allergy) from grass and am moderately allergic to mold and house dust. I have been diagnosed with a sinus blockage, take medication, cannot tolerate allergy shots (they make me worse), and do not want to make my nose bigger. I have become sicker since I started working and I believe it is partly because of the pollution from the car exhaust, that there may be more dust in the office than I think (I do not see people dusting or wiping their desks) and the paper may have dust, too. The carpet is vaccumed once a week with the dust and pollen foot traffic of 30 or more people. These are just extra things for me, I believe. Now, I stay indoors and that helps by reducing my total allergen exposure since pollen is really my most potent allergen. I am adopted, but I really think I am from a northern climate (arctic region) and natural selection does exist...I am from a place with no grass. It is discouraging to have so little control. I am trying to start my own business and hope this will help since I was much better when I stayed at home.

Feeling better? Gosh, I don't know. Just some days are better than others. Funny, though, just spent a week a Florida and felt great! No poping, no dizziness, none of the sick, tired "IM i going to pass out." feeling. Started driving back, went through GA, fine, Tennessee, OK, KY OK, IL - stuffiness returned. Cross into MO at STL and bam!! sick, sick, sick. Crossing the Mississippi River is the key, I believe.

I, too, live in Missouri. Every year it has gotten worse. Went to an ENT doctor who specializes in allergies and his three suggestions were: 1. take shots for the next five yrs 2. have an operation (no gurantees) or 3. keep taking medication and live w/it. I have switch medications (Allergra D, Singular, Claritin) & still have very few clear days. I thought I was the only one with the dizziness. Also my ears pop continously from the sinus pressure. So count me in your support group. I understand your suffering.
