Nebraska, Alabama, California, Maryland, South Dakota
Grew up just South of Omaha and had horrible allergy problems since the age of 8. Not so bad in the winter. A change of diet that avoided additives, preseratives, corn syrup, and others… helped A LOT.
A move to Hunstville, Alabama when I was 30 didn’t change much for the allergy problems, but definately a little.
A move to coastal San Diego County, California was the best! I had to watch out for mold in an apartment I had that was just a block off of ocean cliffs, but that was nothing to worry about, just keep it clean.
I now live in southern Maryland and have virtually no problems, but there is a little bit a tightness in the chest that only goes away in southern California.
What is floating in the air in Nebraska that makes my chest tighten and wheeze? It’s worse in South Dakota for some reason. Mold will make me sneeze and itch, but the Nebraska thing is itching and congestion in the lungs.
Again, the diet change had a prolific impact. Why didn’t any doctors tell me that when I was a little kid, suffering and unable to even go outside at times. — JWS., Maryland

I live in alabama have been here for 7 years every day is worst then the last I have allergies to everything since moving to alabama, I think the large commercial poultry raising has alot to do with it. don’t get me wrong I love alabama the seasons are mild if the state could clean up the air and get rid of the chicken houses that sit on every corner i think it might be a better place to live but I am so sick all the time and can’t take antibotics any more we are looking to move maybe to south carolina if can get close to the coast.
