Have had severe adult onset asthma over 20 yrs ago. I was diagnosed with 36 out of 40 allergies-14 of them critical and life threatening. Got allergy shots for 7 years-absolutely recommend them! Most drs will say only do it for 2 yrs but if you're serious it should be a lifetime thing. Only reason I had to stop is I have other health problems, too & full time job-no time to address everything. I hope to start shots again, soon. Try it!!!
I moved to Alaska. Was told by my allergist in my former state (the one who was supposed to know) there were no allergies here. Not!!! There are still plenty but the cold dark climate keeps many plants from growing for long. Plus my inabiity to breathe in air pollution is a life threateniing issue & it is cleaner here than most places. Very few places in world I can travel to or live.
Visit Alaska & see how you feel. Visit several times in different seasons before you think of moving here. I too live an extremely limited life but there is mild to moderate misery here or there is severe misery to be had elsewhere. The ones who don't have this have no idea what it's like. Good luck to you. I hope you find a good quality of life.

I've been diagnosed with asthma for almost 4 years. My asthma triggers are: dust mites, mold from rotting vegetation, high humidity, cold, stress (Can work on that one). I live in Central East Pennsylvania and nature seems to be my new enemy. I am 43 years old and am a virtual hermit other than work and necessary shopping trips. Trying to figure out the best place(s) for me to move, any suggestions?
