I currently live in New York City, but have a terrible time taking in the polluted air. I feel much better when I'm at the beach or a similar environment. I have travelled extensively, and believe I feel best in Florida. I'm considering moving there, but haven't gotten the courage to do it yet.

Has anyone been in a similar position?

I also have had a terrible experience with sinus problems in Italy. In Milan, in Bologna, and worst of all in Naples. The smog is terrible in Naples, although a local tried to tell me it was just "mist". There are cigarette smokers everywhere and the highways are worse than LA I even had trouble in the so called "mountains" of Le Marche and at the seaside, where there seems to be much mold. I have traveled all over Europe, the U.S. and Canada, and I must say that the only really good places for me seem to be in the desert (Palm Springs area), and way up in the high mountains above about 12,000 feet.

I absolutely agree. I grew up in Florida, without a single health problem. My family moved to Ontario and within the year I started to get sick. Many bouts of phnuemonia, a bout of tb and now copd. The only time I feel well is when I revisit my family in West Palm Beach. Unfortunatly because of immigration restrictions I am unable to return to Florida. So basicly I'm waiting to die in Canada. When I could be living in Florida.
