Allergy Climate in Palm Springs, Palm Desert area, Austin, TX
I would love to retire in the Palm springs, Palm Desert area; however, I’m aware of the extraordinarily high pollution levels. Including air pollution, with which other allergies will I need to deal?
Living in Austin, mold, cedar and other airborne allergans are making my life miserable and creating the need for immediate relief by moving out of the area. — Larry, Texas

I grew up in San Diego and suffered from seasonal allergies and asthma. I received allergy shots and “outgrew” most of it-except in Winter when my asthma would flare up.
I moved to Palm Springs and lived there for 10 years. Except for occasional hay fever that could be relieved with meds, I never suffered severe allergy or an asthma attack and I can recall being sick one time.
Since moving to central Texas two years ago, I have been to the ER about 6 times for asthma attacks related to the cedar season. I have been receiving allergy shots here for a year-last ER visit was the night they lifted the burn ban three days ago.
So, I say, meet you in Palm Springs!
